Account & Data Deletion

Applies to the JobCostingApp service (jobcostingapp.com), operated by Job Costing App LLC

This page explains how to request deletion of your JobCostingApp account and the data associated with it, which data is deleted, and which data we may keep and for how long.

How to request deletion

You can request that your account and its data be deleted in either of these ways:

From inside the app: sign in and go to Admin & Settings → Plan & billing, then use Manage or cancel my subscription. That opens the secure page hosted by our payment processor, where your payment method is held, and where cancellation takes effect. Cancelling stops future charges but does not delete your data — to have your account and data permanently deleted, email us as described below.
By email: send a message to privacy@jobcostingapp.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Include your company name so we can locate your account.

We will verify the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will email you when it is done.

Requesting deletion of some data only

You do not have to delete your whole account. While signed in, you can delete individual records yourself — for example projects, invoices, materials, labor entries, payments, subcontractors and uploaded photos. You can also email privacy@jobcostingapp.com to ask us to delete specific data on your behalf.

What is deleted and what is kept

Items in the in-app Recycle Bin	Deleted automatically even without a request	Up to 40 days, then permanently removed
Records we must keep by law (e.g. invoices/tax records, and basic transaction logs)	Retained only where legally required, then deleted	Up to the period required by applicable law (typically up to 7 years for financial records)
Backups	Purged on our normal rotation	Within 30 days of deletion
